Stem Cell Therapy
Kobe International Cell Therapy Center provides stem cell therapy by intravenously administering mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to continuously repair damaged tissues (niches) in the body and improve pathological conditions.
In addition to using mesenchymal stem cells, stem cell therapy may also involve iPS cells or embryonic stem cells (ES cells). Although active research is being conducted worldwide, there are still very few clinical applications, and many challenges remain.
In contrast, regenerative medicine using mesenchymal stem cells has already entered a practical phase. Its high safety has been validated, and successful cases have been reported worldwide. This therapy involves extracting stem cells from the patient’s own adipose tissue, culturing them, and re-injecting them into the body, and is therefore considered low-risk.

Stem Cell Treatment Steps
STEP.01
PrepareView Required Documents
Please prepare the necessary documents in advance, such as medical history, treatment records, current medications, and health check results. These are used to assess whether you are eligible for the procedure.
STEP.02
Make an Appointment
Appointments can be made via email, phone, or WeChat. Please fill out the pre-consultation form and prepare all documents. Blood test results and ECG should be submitted at least one week before the consultation. (Patients currently undergoing cancer treatment are not eligible.)
STEP.03
Expert Consultation
After reviewing your information, our specialist will provide a consultation explaining the fat extraction procedure, treatment plan, expected outcomes, and potential risks. Please bring any previous medical records or test results. Feel free to ask any questions or express concerns.
STEP.04
Check & Blood Tests
Once you fully understand and consent to the treatment plan, we will confirm whether stem cell cultivation is possible and schedule the treatment. Additional tests or follow-ups may be required depending on your condition.
STEP.05
Fat Extraction
Blood will be drawn for cultivation. Under local anesthesia, an incision of about 3–4 cm will be made in the lower abdomen to collect subcutaneous fat. The outpatient procedure takes about 40 minutes. Oral medication will be prescribed from the day of the procedure.
STEP.06
Stem Cell Cultivation
Stem cells will be cultivated from the extracted fat at our CPC (Cell Processing Center), certified by the Ministry of Health. Cultivation, management, and storage will be handled by certified professionals.
STEP.07
Stem Cell Injection
Following the treatment plan, stem cells will be administered intravenously or through local injection. The process takes about 1.5 hours.
